Begin exactly where you are

You do not need to know exactly what is wrong before asking for help

Many people arrive with only a feeling of things not being quite right: feeling tired, anxious, tearful, restless, numb, or having a sense that things cannot carry on in the same way.

My work offers time and space to slow down, talk honestly, and begin to notice what is happening in your mind, body and life. We can work with immediate stress that you may be going through, or with longer-standing patterns that have begun to cause problems in your day to day life.

The approach I use is integrative and person-centred, with a focus on working together in a mindful way to help uncover beliefs that may be standing in your way and blocking a sense of wellbeing.

Who this may help

Support for experiences that can be hard to carry alone

Therapy can be useful when you need a safe, confidential relationship in which to open up, make sense of what is happening, and find a way of moving forward.

Stress and overwhelm

When you seem to have too much to cope with, feel tension in the body, lose focus, sleep poorly, or cannot properly switch off.

Anxiety and self-doubt

When worry, lack of confidence, people-pleasing or self-blame make it difficult to feel at ease with being yourself.

Loss and change

When grief, relationship difficulties, illness, ageing, work pressure or other changes in life have left you feeling unsettled.

Old patterns

When you keep repeating the same patterns and reacting in the same way, even though you may recognise what you are doing.

The work

Therapy for mind, body and spirit

Some people come for short term counselling to work through a specific issue. Others are drawn to mindfulness, body-centred work, relaxation or healing. We can focus on your own specific needs and what suits you at this time.

Experience and trust

Professional counselling with a warm whole-person approach

I am a UKCP registered psychotherapeutic counsellor with an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling, training in Humanistic and Person-Centred Counselling, and a background in Psychology.

I have also studied the Hakomi Method and Body Listening, both of which bring careful attention to how experience can be held in the body as well as in the mind. I am a full Healer Member of The Healing Trust and offer guided relaxation and healing for people who want this additional support.

Everything said in counselling is treated confidentially. I have regular supervision and ongoing professional development.

3

Go at your pace

The work can be short-term and practical, or longer-term and deeper, depending on what you need.
