A safe and respectful therapeutic relationship

Confidentiality is central to the work

Counselling depends on trust. Wendy treats what you share with care, respect and professional confidentiality.

Confidentiality

A private space to speak honestly

Everything said in counselling is treated confidentially, within the normal professional and safeguarding limits that apply to therapeutic work.

This means you can bring difficult, private or uncertain feelings into the sessions without needing to perform, minimise, or have everything sorted out before speaking.

As part of ethical practice, Wendy has regular supervision and ongoing professional development. Supervision supports safe and responsible therapeutic work, while protecting client privacy.

Professional limits

When confidentiality may need to be considered carefully

Like all counsellors, Wendy works within professional, ethical and safeguarding responsibilities. Any limits to confidentiality can be discussed clearly and sensitively.

Respect

Your story is treated with care, dignity and seriousness.

Clarity

Questions about privacy, records or professional boundaries can be talked through.

Safety

Confidentiality exists alongside the normal safeguarding duties of therapeutic practice.
